Welcome

The North East & Border regional promotional group takes in a very large area from Wandong in the South of Victoria, west across to Swan Hill, east to the Upper Murray regions and all along the Southern border areas of New South Wales encompassing The Rock, Holbrook and surrounds.

We generally hold our meetings around the Wangaratta area as that is where the vast majority of our members are. We have attempted in the past to hold meetings in different areas but they haven’t been as well attended so we tend to stick to our more densely populated areas.

We are a very active RPG holding four shows a year:
* All Breeds Foal Show – held at Tatura Park
* All Breeds Charity Youngstock Show – 2010 will be at Wangaratta showgrounds
* Open Performance Show – 2010 was moved to the Oxley Recreational Reserve and hopefully will be at the same venue in the future
* Autumn Welsh Show – follows on the Sunday from the Welsh National Show at Tatura Park on the long weekend in March.

We also conduct a Working Hunter Clinic at Tatura Park which is generally held in late July early August.

We welcome anyone to come along and be involved in the group. We prefer to conduct our meetings at studs in the area so we can look at some lovely ponies before or after we get down to the business of the day. We are pretty good at catering so generally there is a great spread for lunch or afternoon tea depending on what time our meeting is held.
We are always looking for interesting ways to promote our wonderful Welsh Ponies & Cobs so please don’t hesitate to contact any of the above if you have any ideas that you would like to put to the group.
