The show is held at Gatton Showgrounds with the majority of events being held in the Indoor Arena with undercover seating. The show kicks off with the finals of the 2012 Queensland Foal Futurity commencing at 6.30pm on Friday 16th March. Formal led classes are held throughout Saturday, starting with the Youngstock classes and moving into the Seniors, reaching to the climax of judging the Best Welsh In Hand and other supreme led awards around mid afternoon. These are followed by the formal ridden classes and Supreme Ridden awards. The popular fancy dress class has been moved to 6.30pm on Saturday evening, followed by the Working Hunter Evening Spectacular held under lights. Junior Handler classes kick off on Sunday morning followed by Show and Welsh Hunter led classes, Children’s Ridden classes, and Show and Welsh Hunter ridden classes. Harness, Dressage and Novelty classes are held on the grassed outdoor arena on Sunday.


The grounds have excellent stabling facilities and plenty of space for overnight camping for competitors. The canteen is available throughout the show. Show catalogues are available to purchase from the show office which is located at the end of the Indoor arena. Spectators welcome.
